Compliance Training

Personnel in our laboratory have additional responsibilities as compared to other research groups at our university. Due to the nature of our research and laboratory environment, project proposals and protocols must usually first be approved by the Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC), the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), and/or the Institutional Review Board (IRB). All work must strictly adhere to ethics and compliance in accordance with the requirements of The Texas A&M University System policies and regulations, Tarleton State University rules and procedures, and state and federal laws and regulations. Part of compliance is that all personnel receive regular safety training and enroll in the Biosafety Occupational Health Program (BOHP).
